We'd like to learn more about the diagnosis experiences of new or expectant parents of children with Down syndrome. We also want to learn more about the information and resources offered when you received the news.

We'd appreciate it you would complete our survey and tell us about your diagnosis experience. 

• Lettercase.org  - Understanding a Down Syndrome Diagnosis” is available for free as a web app and copies are available in our library in English and Spanish as well.

• Downsyndromepregnancy.org - Program administered by the National Center for Prenatal and Postnatal Resources at the University of Kentucky's Human Development Institute. Their books offer support to expectant parents who are preparing for the birth of a baby with Down syndrome/Trisomy 21.  Contact MedicalOutreach@dscba.org to arrange a copy. (Also available in Spanish)

• Dear Future Mom is a heartwarming video message from 15 people with Down Syndrome to a future mom.

• “If I Could Go Back” video: Parents of older children discuss what they would have told their former selves and new parents about what life would be like with a child who has Down syndrome. Warning…you’ll need some tissues for the video!

• National Down Syndrome Adoption Network - The National Down Syndrome Adoption Network was created to offer hope to expectant and birth parents who felt they would not be able to parent their child, and wanted a loving alternative – adoption.  Review their booklet here, "A Loving Choice...Adoption as an Option".
